We all want to know that our charity dollars are going where they'll do the most good. I've had a blog post in draft for a while about a local group I support. While researching it I found <a href="http://www.charitynavigator.org/" rel="nofollow">Charity Navigator</a>, a site which attempts to evaluate the performance of various charitable organizations. They are not all-inclusive, but it's a good site to check before you make your donation. If a site is listed you'll see how your contiribution will actually be used - what percentage goes to actual program implementation, how much to administrative fees and how much to fundraising.
