Trying out Buzzfuse

I am always looking for new ways to make sure people stumble over to my blog and came across Buzzfuse. It seems to be geared more for video and audio internet content, but there are ways to promote your posts too.I decided to try it. I added the code to one of my favorite posts. I chose the one that I wrote on how to choose a charity to give too. Just search “Tips for Giving” on my blog search button to locate it. After I entered the code, a message came up asking me if the item was a group or solo effort. I clicked “solo.” Next, I was asked to type in my distribution list. Apparently, if you don’t type in the email addresses of ten people, you won’t be distributed. It relies on distributing your new material to your own social network first, and then it all goes from there. I was hoping to try out Buzzfuse before I tried to compel other contacts to try it as people go by my word, or to just add one or two people to test it. But for now, I am stuck on the screen where it says “you need to add eight more contacts.”

I think if you have music or video content, and do not have the benefit of an rss feed, I think its a neat way to release new postings. If you are already well distributed as a written word blog, you may find duplication with other services.
