More Distractions! Armchair Drag Racing!

If you have been a regular reader of this blog, or have just read the last few posts I have written, you can sense how busy a week this is turning out to be for me. Why, when I have the most to do or worry about, do I goof off?

I have come to the conclusion, that the more I have to do, the more efficient I am. When I don’t have enough to do, I tend to procrastinate. Sometimes, though if I am playing a game on the computer while I am doing a lot of “critical” things, my concentration is much better. That probably won’t make sense to a lot of people. When that little part of my mind that is in the background thinking random things is occupied, I can usually work better.

When I was younger, I used to go to the arcade and play Pole Position. Actually, some of my cousins had the game. Their Grandma used to play and drive the speed limit! Of course, in that game, the other competitor could only go so far if the other one was holding up the rear.

Today, I just stumbled onto an online drag racing game, and it brought back those computer car racing memories.   It also blew my mind a little that someone would have thought about combining it with a social networking element. There have been online games for quite some time that allow you to talk back and forth with other players, but this one allows you to do more. You can check it out here: Nitto 1320 Legends – Free Live Online Drag Racing Game

You can apply to join an already existing racing team, or start your own. There are over 250,000 members now, so I am sure you can find a team that will be willing to accept a newcomer. You earn street credits and win money (online redeemable in the Nitto Legends drag racing world), that if used wisely, can further your team and your chances of winning the day. I think I would just be customizing my car all day long and not get to the racing part.

I would get my car painted screaming line green like the one on the right:
