Internet Tip Directory
Ever since I took that computer class in second grade, where I learned how to X and Y plot dots on an Apple IIe, people have had the impression I was some sort of computer whiz. My family and friends tend to ask me when they are having computer trouble. Really, I don’t think I am any prize, but I just know slightly more than they do. Somehow, at a temp job I was hired to do data entry for, they had the crazy idea that I must know how to BUILD a database. I am not sure if I fooled them into thinking I was capable, or I was just the only one available.
Many people who edit html code on the web today are not employed by major corporations, nor do they have a mini internet empire of their own. They are sometimes someone who has been asked to do so to keep their Rotary Club web site or local dog rescue organization site alive. They may not have much experience, but they are available.
There is a new section for web design tips at Web-articles.info. The user is instructed to search for tutorials by keyword. There is not an extensive library of articles here, but it covers many of the basic questions one may have quite extensively. It will not satisfy an advanced user, but it is a good starting point for a beginner to intermediate user. When I was just starting to learn, I found many sites would talk about “the basics” in a style that assumed you already knew all the jargon and had an advanced grasp on other computer matters and it is nice to know someone out there assumes that not everyone on the internet has their own site.
I suggest that a visitor uses the search field to try searching for their terms sitewide. There other hubs on the site for other types of internet articles, and your more general questions might just also be better answered by articles from other categories.
Have fun, and let me know if the site helps you.
