Strollers: Not the Accidents Waiting to Happen that they Used to Be
I remember when my sister was little, my mother pushed a fairly ungainly stroller. If you put too much on top, it looked like it was going to flip. There was a basket underneath. If we walked a little farther than we planned, sometimes the family dog would curl up in the fabric sling below and enjoy the rest of the ride.
I guess I have taken for granted that things have really changed since then. I don’t have children myself, so am pretty amazed that strollers are much more ergonomic now. Mutsy has some new models. The name was very deceiving, as I had first assumed their products were for dogs! Indeed, they are made to make the lives of parents a little easier. The weight on the new Mutsy Slider is low, and the frame folds up independently of the seat, so it can stashed in the most compact vehicle very easily.
Great for kids, but sounds like it might be an idea to make special needs pets part of the action, too. The bassinet feature would be perfect for that purpose.
No matter what model you get, they all are available with bassinets and seats so you can get several years of use out of your purchase.
