I WILL Get Around To It…

My dad is always talking about how I should enroll in an online or satellite school program to finish my degree.  Sometimes, he forgets that I live in the middle of nowhere or that you can’t exactly complete exams for a Performing Arts Degree over email.     Lately, I have been thinking more along the lines of all the computer work I do.   Quick Cert has made MCSE training available and accessible. Systems Engineers seems to be in higher demand than web designers these days, as web hosts and even small companies are nowhere without their computer server. More so, they are nowhere without someone who really knows what they are doing.

I always say I am going to go for some training when I catch a break around here.  It looks like I am just making excuses, because there are test centers around the country, and  it is easy to go through the course at your own pace.   Now my big secret is out.  I have the time, now it is just the motivation that is lacking!

  1. I actually got my degree online via Washington State University’s Distance Degree Program. They have several programs available and it’s a great program. I worked full time and did school work during lunch, after work, and on weekends. Even most tests were done at home – though a few had to be proctored at the local library. :)

I don’t believe that a degree is the be all and end all to success – but depending on your goals it may be necessary. I haven’t used mine for a single thing, but who knows. Maybe someday it will come in hand. LOL =)
