Thats just one of the problems with breed specific legislation no body can even specify the exact breed of their dog anyway cause they are intermixed so much.

Couldn't rate the post, or I would have given it a perfect score. I'm a (preferably larger)dog person, and have had friends who have pit bulls. No problem, I thought. Wrong. I finally had to start clicking methodically through the pictures (excepting the obvious ones like the mastiff, white boxer, and jack russells), finally finding the pit bull! In NYC the expletive deleted bureaucrats who run the housing authority (which provides much needed low cost & middle income housing), has seen fit to ban pit bulls as well as any dog over 50 lbs. I've met Neo Mastiffs who could live in a studio, and this was the only breed where the handler had to urge the dog to complete the full circle around the ring. My 53 lb not-a-wolfdog never barks, fights, and is responsive enough to walk without a leash. Yet he would be banned. I'm going to find a way to get this test to the members of this board. Breed and size specific bans are akin to promoting racism in humans. Better they try something a bit more difficult but more on target, like banning the expletive deleted who make their dogs vicious to shore up their fragile manhood.
