Don’t Forget Your Gear When You Saddle Up
While talking about the great charity events to take your horse too, I almost neglected where to get some gear online. My (horse) riding boots have seen better days and my motorcycle boots just won’t cut it. Technically, they are a closed toe shoe and my feet would be protected from being stepped on, but I don’t like to wear shoes with laces that could get caught on something.
Cavender’s Boot City sells exclusively online. You can get everything from cowboy hats to tried and true Wrangler jeans, to, of course, boots!

I worry about laces too. I would put eyelets in a zipper and use that to replace them to avoid replacing boots

I have laces on my boots for livestock work, it’s the only way I can get them to fit comfortably. Mind you, I’m not actually riding anything. I’m not sure if I’d ever buy boots online, I have a tough enough time as is getting them to fit.

Never been on a horse all my life. Only see them from far.
Now that the weather has turned cold, it’s time to get new boots eh?

Having the right gear can truly make all the difference. I know when my mom was into horseback riding she had a whole shed full of stuff.

Where I live it doesn’t get too cold. You just need something that will protect your toes and cover your ankles. I like to have boots that go at least halfway up my calf, so in combo with my jeans or breeches, they are protected from a odd branch when riding in the field.
I usually opt for a full riding helmut. If you go western rather than english, they do have some that fit under your hat, but of course, you may have to get a bigger hat
