Puppies on the Move
Wave goodbye! The puppies and dogs who were saved during Saving Shelter pets rescue effort #60 are on the road! This is the crew on their last pick up stop before they are on the road to rescue. Without the support of the donors of Saving Shelter Pets, this would have never been possible. The efforts have an even longer impact because the mother dogs of the pups are being spayed, as well as the other four legged family members. Seldom people remember that SSP is not a huge organization, but just a handful of people who connect by the internet and phone. When a group of people are “on a mission” they can do great things.
All the dogs have been quarantined out of the shelter for at least two weeks, and are in good health. The puppies never had to see the inside of the shelter, thanks to the Puppy Promises program.
There will be many happy families who will be wondering in the next few months how someone could have possibly turned in or not wanted their new family member. Little did they know that their best friend was sitting at a cold shelter, unwanted, and was almost euthanized or that their best friend had been born outside to an outside dog and never knew what it is like to snuggle on the sofa with their person.

Have a great trip! I look forward to reading “Pup-dates” about their new lives, and rescue #61!
