Sweet Sylvia has a Broken Home

sylvia.gifSaving Shelter Pets put out a New Year’s plea today for a sweet dog named Sylvia.   She is a very sweet hound girl whose family is going through a divorce.  Unfortunately, neither party wants Sylvia, and this is where SSP has intervened.  The alternative is for the couple to take Sylvia to the shelter.  She literally has no chance of being adopted in her county, as the animal control officer has a gun and two attack dogs.   A mild soul like Sylvia does not stand a chance at all of surviving.

The family will not pay for Sylvia’s health certificate and vet check up to able Sylvia to go on a transport to a rescue who would be happy to take her in because it would be much less expensive to merely surrender her to the local pound.    SSP needs to raise $100 very quickly so they can say “yes” to helping this girl.

If you can help Sylvia and even spare a dollar or two, it all adds up.  The total needed is $100.00

If you should find yourself moving on from a relationship, please think of the pets.  They depend on you, and you made a promise to them to include their welfare in your decisions.  They are helpless on their own, and the likelihood of finding a new family at the pound is very slim.

  1. All funds have been raised for Sylvia. YAY. Now SSP needs help with funds for a gaggle of adorable puppies and their bulldog momma
