Christian The Lion Going Back Into Print

One of the most requested Out of Print books this year is A Lion Called Christian.  This forgotten book by Anthony Bourke and John Rendall has had thousands and thousands of requests due to the popularity of a YouTube Video.  The video, when you calculate the traffic from all the different versions out theer, viewings has reached over 30 million.

In response, the book is going into print again this year, and is scheduled to be published in April. The copies that are out there from 1972 are being offered by book dealers for over a hundred dollars for the non condensed version. Of course, the Reader’s Digest Version can be had for less. You have probably seen it before, but I never tire of seeing the reunion between Bourke, Rendall, and Christian. It is not a good idea to have a wild animal as a pet, but in this case, the men are definitely heros in my book for getting Christian out of his sad situation at Harrod’s. He was seperated from his parents when some zoo animals were sold and ended up beung for sale at the department store.

If you have not seen it before, get out a tissue.
