PuppyBowl Fundraising Update #1
As you have just read earlier, Saving Shelter Pets, Inc., is having a Puppy Bowl promotion! The exciting news is that 40 deserving puppies will be able to make their way safely to rescues if SSP scores a “touchdown” and reaches their goal. So far the tally is as follows:
Fundraiser Goal: $2200
Raised so far: $745
STILL NEEDED: $1455
That’s enough to ensure that about three puppies get their shots, get quarantined two weeks back at home, and get transported to rescue instead of being dumped at a pound. Some of the county pounds where these pups have been intercepted from have a 75-99.99% death rate due to euthanizations of animals due to crowding, limited time held at the shelter, or succumbing to illness within the shelter walls and either passing away or being euthanized to prevent the spread. These puppies need us for their survival!
For everyone who donates $10 or more will receive a Puppy Promises banner for their website, myspace page, or blog. Two lucky donors will also be drawn at random to win a DVD of this year’s PuppyBowl game that will be shown on Animal Planet, complete with kitty halftime show and Pepper, the National Anthem Singing Parrot!
