On one hand, this type of scooter has helped a lot of folks as they are easier to maneuvere than a wheel chair and allow folks to live with much less assistance. However, I always feel that folks are being "hawked to" with all of the commercials telling folks how easy it is to get one and its less of a "well I use a wheelchair - this would be so much easier - I could stay in my home" (which is awesome) and more of a "I want one of those." I could be very wrong. But I have known a few folks who really should be doing what their doc says and pushing themselves to walk with a cane so they will rehabilitate. I really have known one or two people who just threw in the towel so maybe that's why I am biased. As much as I hate to say it, I think its just a natural reaction, James.
