Pushed Out of Bed Again
Last night was another awkward night for sleep. It was hot for sure. The main problem is that I made the mistake of allowing my dogs to claim the bed before I did. I swear I need to move up to a king sized bed. They are small, but they can stretch. One takes up one side of the bed, and one takes the bottom. If I am on five inches of the bed with my rear end hanging off the side, I am mighty lucky.
One of my dogs sticks his head between the bed and the wall for some shut eye. I have got to get a headboard, so he stops doing that. I have considered metal beds because they don’t take up much room. What captured my attention even more are storage beds, like the one at left. I have never seen anything like that before, and imagine it would be perfect for a small space like I happen to have. I could store everything I normally stored under the bed inside. I could put all my off season clothes in there as well. Time4sleep.co.uk has all sorts of other innovative beds, too.
Of course, I wouldn’t dare put any dog treats or supplies in there. The doxies would be digging in the mattress. They once ripped my jeans once because treats had been in my pocket at one time in the past, even though the jeans were cleaned. I can just imagine them burrowing to hopefully find what their nose was after. Better yet, I should sleep in the storage area, kind of like how Lily and Herman sleep in coffins on the Munsters. My dogs would finally get the room that they so desire.
