For vacuums with removable bags, dispose of them promptly. If you have a canister vacuum, empty the canister in the trash bin outdoors, rather than allowing the refuse to sit in an open waste bin in the house.

When the flea maternity ward closes, the potential tragic infestation of the home is averted. Topical flea preventative protects the treated pet from bites, but does not protect your carpets or untreated pets. Check with your vet before starting a topical regimen if your pet has a compromised immune system. Flea preventative is extra critical for those pets, but you must make sure the product is appropriate.
