Aspiring nine year old author Malkolm Poyer and family learned that he needed open heart surgery. Malkolm has never been able to run and play with the rest of the children because of his heart condition. While the family has health insurance, the cost of various copays and additional expenses, including shuttling the family of five to Atlanta for treatment, has been adding up. Malkolm asked if he could sell copies of a story he wrote, Luna, and as a result, more than 326 copies at $10.00 each have sold on Ebay. The copies are autographed individually by Malcolm. Proceeds will go towards his treatment.
