Nice review of a dog shampoo. It is definitely a must for pet owners to choose the right shampoo for our dogs in order to avoid flakes or any form of allergies.

Does she get flakes or just get irritated?

Just like hip dysplasia is a potential issue in german shepherds, sensitive skin is actually something that isn't rare in doxies. The ones most prone are those that have the isabella (blue) coloring, though it doesn't matter what color. It seems to not be as strong in mixes, but I have heard some have it too.

I had a standard sized (red) dachshund growing up, and even though she had a thick, long coat, she looked like she had dandruff sometimes. I used to wash her with baby shampoo. In fact, I did her entire life but a couple of times I spot cleaned her with head and shoulders intense formula and that worked, but I was not comfortable with it all the time because it was awfully harsh and I worried about it all the time.

My dog Abby has had sensitive skin for years. Rosie is a chihuahua/doxy mix and has a slight skin problem from time to time so I'm really careful about what I put on them too. this sounds like a wonderful mix - coconut oil especially is very good for the skin and I use it on my own skin.

Yeah, it was pretty traumatic. I am not sure what stuck with me more...the actual bunnies or my mom's attitude about it. Sure, stuff happens, but doesn't mean that things can't be sad. I don't think it was the first time I had seen something like that.

A sad memory from your childhood I'm sure. I share your concern for pesticides and all the chemicals we and our pets are exposed to daily. Thanks for the video

Thanks for stopping by, Mandy. Yeah, I think it does. I wish people would look past it, but the healthier the better! Good luck and let me know how it goes/who you gets adopted faster because of a prettier coat.

I'm definitely going to try this. We have dogs that come in that are in pretty bad shape. I think this would go a long way to getting them adopted. There are some dogs that are rescued that are very sweet, but their coats really make them look like "junkyard dogs" after being neglected or just being on their own. A healthy coat really makes people more attracted to inquiring about a dog after seeing their picture, and of course, in person, gets a lot of people coming up to see your foster dog at the park. I like when people don't have to ask "what's wrong with your dog."

Guys,
I will fill in the rest in a bit.

It looks like this is a GO!!!

backups are always appreciated and we are taking them - so don't hesitate to be asked to put on the list for the next ones in need. It is very rewarding to take a dog to safety.

There is another one with a slightly different route coming up, contact me!

Thanks, I know you will be there in spirit!

The transport has been modified. The dogs were able to secure an overnight with a driver who was taking a single dog on transport at the same time. A nice hound will join the trip for a couple stops, and then continue on. There are only TWO more legs left to go...we can do this!

Hi Sherry,
We are going to try our mightiest to get the dogs out this weekend. Next weekend will be much harder because it will be the 4th of July. I will definitely keep you posted, though.

Hi, Are you definitely running the transport this Saturday, June 27th? I am out of town this weekend but would be happy to help any other time. I live in Greenville, SC and could go from Greenville to Charlotte to take 2 legs of the transport. Just let me know if something changes. Thanks. Sherry (sherrybp@yahoo.com)
